Driver Ed Course
How many days of class can be missed?
Attendance is mandatory. Any missed classes will result in having to retake that particular class. Ex. if you miss class #5, you will need to take class #5 during the next session of classes in a later month.
The State of Wisconsin requires 30 hours of classroom instruction, and failure to meet this requirement results in an automatic failure.
What happens if I don't complete the online course by the deadline?
There is a $50 fee for a 4-week extension. If you wish to purchase an extension, please contact us via email.
Can I begin my online course immediately after I register?
No. You must wait to be processed into the online course and receive your login information via email. This normally occurs within two business days.
Behind-the-wheel
When can I start behind-the-wheel lessons?
You can start driving lessons at any time with a valid learner's permit or driver's license, provided you are at least 15 years old. You can schedule driving lessons on our website once you are registered and have paid in full. If you are under 18, you can do in-car lessons and classroom training concurrently.
What do I do if my permit expires?
If you receive your permit and haven't started your behind-the-wheel training within 13 months of completing the driver education class, the state requires you to complete a 10-hour refresher course before you can get a new permit.
How do I schedule a behind-the-wheel lesson?
Log in to your student account on our website. Choose an available time.
What happens if I miss a driving lesson or cancel?
The instructor must have a minimum of two students in the car to provide a driving lesson; the absence of one student means the other student will also miss a lesson, and the length of time necessary to complete behind-the-wheel training will be extended.
If you cannot make your scheduled driving time, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel within 24 hours before the lesson, a $50 fee will be charged. You cannot have another lesson until the fee is paid. Additionally, the completion form will also be withheld if the account is not paid in full.
What if I need to reschedule my driving lesson?
Should you need to reschedule a lesson, you may do so by logging into your account on our website. You must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 late cancellation fee.
General
What is your refund policy?
No refunds and non-transferable so long as the school is willing and able to fulfill its part of the agreement.
Do you offer a payment plan?
If you choose a classroom (in-person or online) and behind-the-wheel program, a down payment is required to register. The second payment is required at the midpoint of the classroom portion, and the final balance must be paid in full by the time the classroom portion is completed to schedule behind-the-wheel driving lessons. **The invoice must be paid in full to receive your MV3001 form, which is required to obtain your Temporary Permit.**
If you choose Behind-the-Wheel only, Right of Way course, or Adult Lessons, payment must be made in full at the time of registration.
How old do I need to be to start driver education?
You suggest beginning driver education courses no earlier than 14 years and 6 months old. You must be at least 15 years old to receive your permit and start behind-the-wheel lessons. After you turn 18 or your high school class has graduated, you are no longer eligible for this program.
